Thousands of girl child are at the risk of dropping out of school due to challenges faced while trasitioning to adolescent, including pregnancy.
Our goal is to inspire, encourage and empower Adolescent and Teenage girls in Nigeria to dare dream, provoking their curious minds to explore it’s creativity and talents.
For years, we’ve changed the stories of girls from across Nigeria, giving them hope and the courage to follow the path that leads them to a future they can be proud of.
EmpowHer Choices Preg-Prevent Initiative Represented by her Founder/President, Jennifer Nikurai Maton, paid a visit to Christian Faith Crisis Home, an IDP camp Located in Plateau State, that houses children from different crisis region around Nigeria. We were welcomed warmly. We addressed the main item of the Padded Girl Program, sponsored by our partners ZenaPads - Zena For Women with a brief demonstration of how to use Zena pads, a first of its kind, made in Nigeria biodegradable two winged sanitary pad that completely prevents leakage, is fast absorbent, irritation free & pocket friendly. We spoke to the girls about reproductive health, sex education & consent, their aspirations, and career goals. We’ve kept in touch and continued to give moral support and welfare from time to time. Raising awareness by partnering with organizations to support in empowering them in sports or skill development opportunities.
